The challenge was to design a Marvel Collection that is easily recognizable to fans but not mistaken for a children’s product. It needed to capture the essence of the heroes while looking authentic and premium, something that feels like a collectible any Marvel fan wouldn’t want to miss.
The collection features a comic-themed design that resonates with Marvel fans who grew up loving the franchise. There’s also a modern, sleek design option with debossed icons on the front and back covers for those who prefer a contemporary look. Materials were carefully selected to achieve a premium feel and offer a unique approach compared to the typical journals available on the market.
Before proceeding to the conceptual stage, we conducted user and market research to ensure that the specifications we followed were in line with current market trends and demands.
- Developed product concepts and packaging, presented to internal stakeholders, Disney Philippines, and Marvel for approval.
- Prepared all necessary die lines and production file, ensuring all files are production ready.
- Finalized materials to be used and specifications of each design elements.
