Designed for Disney's Back-to-School collection, we designed and launched a holographic-themed line targeted towards teens and young adults.

The Challenge

I was tasked with designing journals and pen pouches targeted toward teens and young adults. The products needed to capture the essence of the Disney Princesses without appearing childish or being mistaken for kids’ items. The internal stakeholder requested a design that was modern, luxurious, empowering, and professional-looking.

The Solution

The collection’s iridescent finishes and playful yet modern aesthetic were designed to resonate with both teens seeking trend-driven designs and young professionals drawn to stylish, expressive stationery. I intentionally avoided using obvious character designs of the Disney Princesses and instead opted for subtle icons that represent them.

The collection consists of three journals and three pen pouches.

I managed and executed the end-to-end creative process,
from concept design to production monitoring, distribution,
and marketing support rollout.

01. Concept Design

- Developed product concepts and packaging, presented to internal stakeholders, Disney Philippines, and Marvel for approval.

- Prepared all necessary die lines and production file, ensuring all files are production ready.

02. Pre-Production Sampling

- Finalized materials to be used and specifications of each design elements.

- Double checked the quality of product to ensure it meets standards.

- Secured approvals from internal stakeholders, Disney Philippines, and Marvel, to proceed to mass production.

03. Production Monitoring

- Closely worked with manufacturers to monitor production progress and ensure quality of production.

- Constantly update Disney Philippines and Marvel about production progress and product quality.

03. Marketing Support and Visual Merchandising Guide

- Conducted product shoots to use as assets for marketing collaterals.

- Designed digital marketing content for social media posting.

- Created visual guides for branch manager on how to display the products in their store.
